Sharon Ely Pearson is a Christian educator, editor, and author with 35+ years of experience in Christian formation on the local, judicatory, and church-wide level. Known for her knowledge of published curricula across the church, she has written or edited numerous books, including The Prayer Book Guide to Christian Education, 3rd edition; Call on Me: A Prayer Book for Young People; The Episcopal Christian Educator's Handbook; and Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Theologies of Confirmation for the 21st Century. She is a graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary and a lifelong Episcopalian. You can follow her at www.rowsofsharon.com
With over eleven years experience at both church and diocesan levels, Duana Cisney continually seeks to serve youth in new ways. She received her Advance Certification in Youth Ministry at the Seminary of the Southwest. As a teenager, she faced some tough challenges and regrets not having had a safe church family to walk alongside her. She wants our teens today to know that they will make mistakes and that God will be there for them no matter what. She feels it is important for students to know they aren’t perfect, but they are made in the image of God and that alone is wonderful. She lives in Greensboro, NC, with her husband and three teenage children.
Wendy Claire Barrie has directed programs for children, youth, and families since 1989 in seven Episcopal congregations large and small on both coasts. A former Vice-President and board member of Forma, a network of Christian formation professionals, she began her career teaching preschool and drama. A storyteller by nature and an actor by training, leading workshops and preaching are two activities she enjoys more than she ever expected. Wendy is also the exhausted mother of an especially curious son. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
