The Holy Land, the Camino de Santiago, and other sacred destinations all report unprecedented numbers of visitors. Here is the first complete resource for those planning a pilgrimage.

This timely volume explores a number of aspects that help distinguish pilgrimage from ordinary travel, and provides concrete and straightforward tools for those who wish to "set their hearts on pilgrimage" (Psalm 84:5). The author has focused much of her study and vocation to the process and meaning of pilgrimage. In this volume, she offers reflections and resources to prepare, form, and engage pilgrims on their journeys and beyond.  From pilgrimage as a spiritual practice to the role of formation, reconciliation, community, and prayer, this book contains valuable insights, reflections and prayers, and heartfelt stories shared by those on the pilgrim way.

A fresh, contemporary look at the hows and whys of pilgrimage for all those seeking meaningful time away from home, Hearts Set on Pilgrimage will be a must-read throughout the journey.
